An adhoc residents committee decided we needed to replace our managing agents. They were uncommunicative, slow to address problem issues, and seemingly uninterested in a small development like ours. There were major issues with tree safety and maintenance that they failed to address, and it was clear that we needed someone more local and more proactive.
We had a good relationship with Matt Butcher when he was at another managing agent, so he was contacted and guided us through the process that we would need to go through to give the current agents notice and appoint Watsons to replace them. Matt was always available by phone or to meet us on site to guide us through the various regulatory steps we needed to take.
We now have a site manager (Kevin Randall) who is easy to contact, excellent at responding and providing information that the Directors need, and proactive. A new local firm of ground maintenance contractors has been appointed. The difference in appearance of the estate is remarkable, and it is once again somewhere the residents can be proud to live.
